Sports in Education

In association with San Francisco’s Exploratorium, the American Sports Institute presented Sports in Education, the first in a series of three forums on sport-related topics. Panelists included social theorist and author George Leonard; Executive Director Jack Hayes of the California Interscholastic Federation; Jo Baker, Director of Academic Programs for Student-Athletes at the University of California, Berkeley; and Joel Kirsch, president of the American Sports Institute. The forum was moderated by Marty Gonzalez of KRON-TV.
