Endeavoring to fulfill our mission at the American Sports Institute includes returning sport to its rightful place of honor in the arts, humanities, and sciences, a position it once held at the height of the Athenian era in ancient Greece some 2,500 years ago. We seek to do this by applying the principles and practices that work in sport culture, physical education, and wellness to personal, social, and international issues.
In this context, our current strategy is to demonstrate that the principles and practices that work in sport culture, physical education, and wellness can serve as the foundation for transforming America’s public-school system.
