In his book Toward an Optimal Learning Environment: Studies of Engagement at the Moment of Instruction, ASI Advisor Professor David Shernoff of Rutgers and Northern Illinois universities presents an insightful and upbeat perspective on student engagement, one of the most compelling issues in America’s public-school system.
